Encoders are like the eyes of CNC machine tools. There are many applications on CNC machine tools, mainly including displacement measurement, spindle position control, speed measurement, application in AC servo motors, and zero mark pulse used for reference point return control.

Commonly used encoders for CNC machine tools are:

1.Manula Pluse Generators

Manual pulse generators(handwheel/mpg) are typically rotating knobs that generate electrical pulses. They are normally associated with computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery or other devices involving positioning.When the pulse generator sends an electrical pulse to an equipment controller, the controller then moves a piece of equipment a predetermined distance with every pulse.

2.Incremental Shaft Encoder

Incremental shaft encoder provide precise and reliable speed feedback to the control system of CNC;

3.Through hollow shaft encoder 

Incremental through hollow shaft encoder also provide precise and reliable speed feedback to the control system of CNC;
